 Day - 01
Arrival in Sri Lanka, to be met by a representative of Senses Holiday and transfer to Trans Asia Hotel in Colombo. Afternoon leisure at the hotel of free for shopping in Colombo.

 Day - 02
Rathanpura
After breakfast leave for Embilipitiya, via Ratnapura. At Ratnapura visit a gem mine (gem pit) and the gem museum to see all types of gem stones found in Sri Lanka. Visit the National Museum to see the skeletal remains of pre-historic man “Homo Sapiens Balangodensis” found in various caves and open-air habitations in the Balangoda and Ratnapura areas, and the remains of some extinct animals, Lion, Rhinocerous, Hippapotamus, Gaur etc, found in gem pits.

Dinner & overnight at CENTURIA HOTEL, Embilipitiya.
 Day - 03
Udawalawa National Park

Early morning leave for Udawalawe National Park by jeep to see wild animals in the Park, including Wild Elephants, Spotted Deer, Sambhur, Wild Boar, Jackals, Crocodiles, Sloth Bear, Wild Buffalo, Barking Deer, Pangolin, Porcupine, Monkeys, Fishing Cat, Rusty Spotted Cat, Civet Cat and other animals. Also see birds including Sri Lanka Jungle Fowl, Grey Hornbill, Malabar Pied Hornbill, Wooly-necked Stork, Black-necked Stork, Black-headed Ibis, Black-shouldered Kite, White-bellied Sea-Eagle, Crested-Serpent Eagle, Hawk Eagle, Sirkeer Malkoha, Blue-faced Malkoha and other birds.

Relax in the afternoon. Evening leave for Hambantota and check-in at the hotel.

 Day - 04
Bundala National Park
Early morning leave for Bundala National Park to observe wild animals in the Park.This park is a famous Wetland Nature Reserve for bird-life. Look for Darter, Little Comorant, Redshank, Green Shank, Black-winged Stilt. Common Sandpiper, Avocet, Red-necked Phalarope, Gargeny, Glossy Ibis, Lessor Whistling Duck, Yellow-wattled Lapwing many other species of birds and wild animals including Elephant, Spotted Deer, Sambhur, Monkey, Crocodile, Wild Boar, Wild buffalo and other animals. Evening walk upto the Maha Lewaya (Saltern) to look for Black-winged Stilt, Lapwings, Grey Heron, Pond Heron, Cinnamon Heron, Sand Plovers, Kentish Plovers, Lessor Flamingos and other birds. In the night drive round the saltern to see some nocturnl animals and birds.

 Day - 05

After breakfast leave for Yala, visiting Buddhist ruins at Tissa, including Menik, Yatala and Tissa Dagabas. Visit Kirinda Buddhist Temple on the way to Yala, and look for the Estuarine Crocodiles, in the lagoon.

Afternoon relax. Observe birds in the lagoon behind the hotel.

Dinner & overnight at YALA VILLAGE, Tissamaharama
 Day - 06
Full day at Yala National Park. See Elephants, Leopards, Spotted Deer, Barking Deer, Wild Boar, Wild Buffalo, Pangolin, Crocodiles, Sambhur, Jackal, other animals and birds including Sri Lanka Jungle Fowl, Brown-capped Babbler, Stone Curlew, Great Thick Knee, Black-necked Stork, (the largest bird in Srilanka) Lessor Adjutant, Painted Stork, Sirkeer Malkoha, Blue-faced Malkoha, Brahminy Myna, Orange-breasted Green Pigeon, Grey Hornbill, Malabar Pied Hornbill, Cormorants, Darters, Herons, Bitterns, Lapwings and other birds. Picnic lunch in the Park. Return to Hotel in the evening.

Dinner & overnight at YALA VILLAGE, Tissamaharama
 Day - 07
Morning relax in the Hotel. Afternoon leave for Nuwara Eliya, visiting Buduruwagala on the way. At Buduruwagala see the tallest rock-cut Buddha statue in Sri Lanka (51 ft) and 6 other rock-cut statues of Mahayana Buddhists, dating to 8th C.A.D. See the Randeniwela monument, Rawana waterfall (1080 ft) on the way, stop at the Ella Rest House to see the superb view through the Ella-gap and to enjoy a cup of tea. Then proceed to Nuwara Eliya. On the way see Dowa Cave Temple for the murals and 8th C.A.D. Buddha statue carved on the rock.

 Day - 08
Morning visit the Market, walk to Victoria Park, proceed to Hakgala Botanical Gardens. Walk in the gardens, see the Rose Garden, Tree-ferns etc, and then visit "Seetha Kovil" - a quaint little temple dedicated to “Seetha” and “Rama” of the famous Indian Epic "Ramayanaya". Late afternoon leave for Kandy. On the way see Ramboda Falls (329 ft high), visit Glenloch tea factory to buy ‘unblended` tea from the factory; and see the process of tea.

Dinner & overnight at AMAYA HILLS, Kandy.
 Day - 09
Morning visit the Royal Botanical Gardens at Peradeniya, to see more than 5,000 species of trees and plants in the 150 acre gardens, see beautiful Orchids in the "Orchid House", and visit the spice gardens, Kandy market and drive round the lake.
Afternoon shopping in Kandy.

Evening visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic to witness the evening “Pooja”. Then witness a Kandyan Dance Performance.

Dinner & overnight at AMAYA HILLS, Kandy
 Day - 10
Morning leave for Sigiriya. On the way visit a spice garden at Matale to see all types of spice trees, plants and creepers and to buy spices. Visit Alu-vihara Buddhist Temple to see the method of preparing "Ola-leaf" and the method of writing on them. At Dambulla visit the Cave Temples. See the large area plastered and painted in the 5 caves (more than 22,000 sq.ft) more than 130 Buddha statues in various postures, and the statues of Kings and Gods.

Afternoon visit Sigiriya “The Fortress in the Sky” to see the moats, walls, pleasure gardens, caves, beautiful 5th C.A.D. paintings of the Heavenly ‘Damsels` - ‘Vijjulatha` (Lightning damsels) and ‘Megalatha` (Cloud damsels), the graffiti on the “Mirror Wall”, and the remains of the Palace on the summit. Then return to the hotel.

Dinner & overnight at AMAYA LAKE, Dambulla.
 Day - 11
After breakfast leave for Polonnaruwa via Habarana. At Polonnaruwa visit the Medieval Capital and see the imposing monuments including the Royal Palace, Audience Hall, Vata-da-ge (Circular Relic House), Heta-da-ge, Thuparama, Lankathilake monument, Rankothvehera and statues at Gal-Vihara and the most beautiful remains of paintings at the Tivanka Image House.

Also look for Indian Roller, Black Robins, Sky Larks, Bush Larks, Black-headed Orioles, Grey Hornbills, Lorrikeets, Parakeets, Fishing Eagles and other birds in the Cultural Reserve Area. Late afternoon Return to Dambulla.

Dinner & overnight at AMAYA LAKE, Dambulla.
 Day - 12
Early morning leave for Minneriya National Park. Enter the Park by Jeep to see the large herds of Elephants roaming in the Park. See Spotted Deer, Sambhur, Leopards (if lucky), Wild Boar, Wild Buffalo, Jackal, Monkeys, Peacocks, Crocodiles, Barking Deer, Civet Cat, Fishing Cat other animals and birds. Return to the hotel in the afternoon and relax.

Dinner and overnight at AMAYA LAKE, Dambulla
 Day - 13
Jetwing Blue Oceanic Early morning walk in the Hotel garden area, along the road and bund of the lake. Look for herds of Elephants on the other side of the lake.

Then leave for Negombo via Kurunegala.

Dinner & overnight at BLUE OCEANIC BEACH HOTEL, Negombo.
 Day - 14

After breakfast city tour of Negombo.

Visit Dutch Fort, Church; see the Dutch Canal, Fishing Boats etc.
Afternoon sea-bathing and relax on the beach.
